MedCenter Coding Institute utilizes AAPC's approved classroom curriculum to prepare students to sit and pass the CPC® exam. This course will prepare students for a medical coding career in an outpatient physician office. Individuals planning to sit for the CPC® exam should have strong coding experience /knowledge or have successfully completed this course.
This 16-week classroom course teaches medical terminology and anatomy, the fundamentals medical coding skills for an outpatient physician setting and prepares the student to take AAPC's CPC® exam. Covers CPT®, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and ICD-10-CM coding. Assures a broad knowledge in reviewing and assigning the correct procedure and diagnosis codes for physician services.
Students should have previously taken a medical terminology and anatomy course. If you require an anatomy and medical terminology course MedCenter Coding Institute does offer this in our 16-week program.
